After completing my courses at Queensborough Community College, I transferred to Brooklyn College. There, working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree, I concentrated my efforts on a greater understanding of the elements of composition, light and color. Although already a photographer and practicing my craft, I made a bold decision to double major, and began taking classes in Film Production. With photography as my background,

I developed strong compositional skills as well as lighting techniques. I consistently practiced these skills working as principal cinematographer on many short films with his fellow students.

My first internship was on the production of “Keane,” a film produced by Stephen Soderbergh. After graduating, I got his first professional work on a film called “Mind The Gap,” directed by Eric Schaeffer, starring Alan King and Elizabeth Reaser. I spent six weeks in Brattleboro, Vermont, working on this film, wearing many hats: grip, gaffer, art director, wardrobe and prop assistant, and even played an extra in a few scenes. Today I’m proud to say I worked on a dozen feature-length movies and many short films

including a short I produced and directed on my own 2008 called, “Dinner for 2?”.

As of this writing (March, 2011), I have been working in my two favorite mediums, film and photography. In 2007, I had my first photographic exhibition called Timeless Moments From An Old World, a collection of black and white photographs of places that had most influenced me during my time in Italy.

My photographs have been published in Uptown Magazine, The Boston Globe, Gilt Group, Dance Sport and more recently, Miracle House.
